In the original home, most of the rooms were a dead end and did not flow from one to the next. The solution was to add a new Kitchen in the back of the home. The existing Kitchen became the new Dining Room which was detailed with two new bays and a dramatic cove ceiling. A new Butler’s Pantry transitions the new Kitchen to the new Dining Room.

For the stay at home mother of three young ones, a commanding view is critical. Your sanity comes from knowing everyone is visibly safe and the place you spend most of your day nurturing them is comfortable, sunny and cheerful.
From the Kitchen Island, one has a clear view of the rear yard and the front door. A few steps away, the washer and dryer and powder room are tucked into a hall that leads to the home office so the kids can be monitored while on the computer during dinner preparation in the gourmet kitchen with duel fuel range and custom tile backsplash.
In a phased approach, Clawson Architects designed the new Kitchen foundation and framing for a future Master Bedroom Suite above as an option for the homeowners.
