Bart took one high school drafting class and he was hooked. His interest in architecture grew, and he found his passion for drawing and math could be combined into this career that he is not only loves, but at which he excels. Replying to one of Clawson Architects’ first advertised positions for an entry level architect, Bart knew that any firm that included “Must play well with others” as a qualification was the place he wanted to work. He has become a respected leader among his colleagues. Bart has been involved in the full breadth of Clawson’s portfolio, from period-specific home restorations to contemporary institutional structures. Bart has also honed a proactive project management style – staying one step ahead of the owners, contractors and tradespeople to anticipate possible hurdles so they can be addressed in a timely way or avoided altogether. His attention to detail extends from the conceptual design phase to preparation for historic preservation, planning board, and other compliance reviews, to development of high quality specifications that foster accurate bidding. Bart is focused, energetic and grounded, giving clients the support necessary throughout the entire process to ensure that satisfaction is high and project results are successful.
Bart received his Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
