Who Will Work on Your Project?

When René and Marvin started Clawson Architects, their first and foremost goal was to create a collegial workplace.  They are so proud to have attracted and built a creative, likable, and conscientious team of design professionals.  Equally important, each team member considers listening to and collaborating with clients and colleagues a priority.

Residential design projects can – and should – require close collaboration between architect and client. When a prospective client approaches the firm, Rene usually leads the initial inquiries, introductions and fact finding.  Marvin may meet a prospective client at this point or at a design consultation – a one-hour, live-action, interview and sketch session where Marvin begins to explore the client’s goals and brings design options to life with pen and paper. Project team appointments are made thoughtfully. Consideration is given to each Clawson team member’s past experience, strengths and interests, as well as the personality and preferred working style of the client.  Marvin and René remain involved in every project.

René and Marvin Working as a Team

Watch an interview with René and Marvin Clawson in which they discuss Architecture as a career and how they work together as a team.

Many ask, “How do you work with your spouse?” Marvin and René agree on one thing for sure:  they could not work without each other. They are truly complementary and each offers unique talents and insight to their design projects and the business.  Some clients have even stated that they chose Clawson Architects because René and Marvin offer the “male + female” perspective!  As partners since 2000, their time together as a professional team has eclipsed their time in practice with others.  Clearly, it works.
