Chief Financial Officer

An accountant who has become enthralled with architecture – perfect. As Chief Financial Officer for the firm, Marlene is precise, responsible, efficient, and a whiz with numbers. She’s also got a sharp wit, and an avid interest in the firm’s design work. Marlene enjoys following projects through the design process and occasionally tags along on a site visit to see the finished product. During a recent design competition, Rene and Marvin invited all team members to contribute ideas; Marlene offered a sketch with details that were incorporated into the final submission!

Marlene received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Kean University as well as a Masters of Science in Accounting from New Jersey City University while working full time for Clawson Architects.. A member of Team Clawson since 2011, Marlene has proven herself to be a real asset to the team as well as key member of the executive planning team.
